A Mysterious Illness
-
Desert Storm/Shield veterans began getting sick almost
immediately upon returning from the Gulf War. Even more
shocking is that many were sick who did not even enter the field
of operations. As late as November 8, 1995, Associated
Press has released another damage control press release
stating:
Previous VA and Defense Department studies have looked
at possible, chemical, biological or environmental factors but
have failed to find any single cause of the health
problems.
October 1995 Life Magazine featured the story of “The Tiniest
Victims of Desert Storm.” The children of our veterans are now being
born with horrendous disfiguring birth defects, thus inspiring the
formation of a “Gulf War Baby Registry.” The problems will not go
away. They are increasing on a daily basis. The military denies the
increase in birth defects, their investigation is deeply
flawed.
The cold, hard truth is that the US Government is covering up the
known use of biological and chemical warfare agents that are not
only contributing to the Gulf War veterans’ problems, but may very
well be the primary cause of their disabling conditions and,
sometimes, death.
Evidence exists that points to the causative agents creating the
myriad of mysterious maladies being experienced by America’s
servicemen and women.

The Senate Investigates...
The Media Ignores Results
-
Senator Riegle, Democrat of Michigan, went to the floor of the US
Senate February 9, 1994 and openly testified about the use of
biological and chemical weapons, and his awareness of the
communicability of the disease. His concern extended to the
public health risk of this communicable disease as he
announced:
...Their families, spouses and children
are now sick.
The Department of Defense steadfastly contends that there is “no
evidence of biological or chemical warfare.” This is an out and
out lie; Senator Riegle, from Michigan stated the
following:
To my mind, there is no more serious crime than an official
military cover-up of facts that could prevent more effective
diagnosis and treatment of sick US Veterans... It is an
astonishing example of the lengths the Defense Department is
going to deny reality. Lastly, we have received the laboratory
findings from a gas mask, its case, and filter, taken from
the Gulf War Battlefield that reveals the presence of
fragments of biological materials that cause illnesses similar
to Gulf War Syndrome.
These are horrendous statistics that show the true scale of
this problem and the heartlessness and irresponsibility of a
military bureaucracy that gives every sign of wanting to
protect itself more than the health and well-being of our
servicemen and women who actually go and fight our
wars.
Senator Riegle ended his statement by saying:
This data confirms that these illnesses are becoming a major
threat to the health and well-being of a significant and rapidly
growing number of individuals and warrants a serious and all out
urgent effort by the government to determine the precise causes
of the illnesses.
CNN news did not air this information. The network news agencies
(ABC, NBC and CBS) do not inform the country that thousands of our
servicemen have died of horrible diseases of which we have never
seen and which the Department of Defense, Department of Health and
Human Services, and all our combined government scientists cannot
diagnose nor treat. It is inexcusable that this information was
released on the floor of the Senate and the Senators heard this
evidence, yet it didn't make the news!
Not only is the health of our veterans at stake but your family is
also at risk. According to one researcher, Dr. Garth Nicolson,
November 8, 1995:
This coverup can only last so long as we now know that 20% of the
population is sick in the countries surrounding the Persian Gulf war
area (excluding Syria for which no information is available). We
can address the problem now or address it in the future. The
illness is here. It is devastating and it is an outbreak!

Biological Agents Used...
-
Though the U.S. Government and the Department of Defense actively
deny the existence of the Gulf War disease (Associated
Press 8-2-95) There is overwhelming evidence to substantiate
the flagrant use of biological and chemical weapons during Desert
Storm (... letter to Secretary of Defense William Perry from
Senator Riegle 1994, Riegle Report, October 9, 1994,
lawsuit and documents of Peter Kawaja and Louis Champon).
There were about 10 to 18 different biologicals shipped to Saddam
Hussein and made in the United States in Texas and Florida.
(Riegle Report list of biological agents shipped to the
Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission). The disease(s) unfortunately are
communicable and affecting not only the GW veterans but the
spouses and children. A very high number of miscarriages and
congenitally deformed children are being reported. There are
immense political and criminal implications as it has been
illegal under the Geneva Convention Regulations of 1972 to make,
experiment with, distribute or sell, germ warfare.

A Treatment for GWS...
-
Dr.s’ Garth and Nancy Nicolson have identified one of the U.S.
man-made germ warfare biological agents at the M.D. Anderson
Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. (Made in Houston, Tx. and Boca
Raton areas). The biologicals were tested, according to the
Nicolsons, in the Texas Department of Corrections on the death
row inmates.
There appears to be a treatment, if caught early, however, it is
not a cure for those suffering with the mycoplasma
incognitus infection. According to the Journal of the
American Medical Association (Feb. 22, 1995), the recommended
treatment is doxycycline (tetracycline) 100 mg., two times a day
for 10 days. Up to six courses of treatment have been required.
For those who cannot take tetracycline, Cipro has been found to
be effective. GW servicemen/women and their families and
significant others may get their blood tested at no charge. To
make arrangements call (713) 792-7481.

The American Gulf War Veterans Association
-
The American Gulf War Veterans Association has been formed for
the purpose of notifying the American public that:
- our servicemen and women were knowingly placed in harm’s
way,
- biological and chemical warfare was used,
- many have become sick from the immunizations that were
required,
- the disease is communicable,
- the Veterans’ Administration hospitals and DOD are not
telling the truth,
- many of our Desert Stormers are sick and dying.
America's support is needed now more than ever. Over 1,000,000
men and women were in the Gulf War, willing to die in the service
of their country, they were knowingly placed in harms way and, to
make matters worse, are being denied treatment by the Department
of Defense and the VA. This should serve to outrage all true
Americans and veterans by the atrocities perpetrated on America
as a whole.

A Word of Warning! and An Appeal ...
-
Just because you did not serve, does not mean you cannot get the
disease. It is communicable to the general population and can be
transmitted via sex and perspiration as it is airborne. Animals
can also be carriers. This is not a story of the past but one
that will haunt us in the future.
The presenting symptoms are as follows: chronic fatigue, night
sweats, severe joint pains, shortness of breath, vision and
hearing problems, rashes, benign and malignant tumor growths, and
neurological problems leading to paralysis and death.
Gulf War Syndrome Treatment
According to the Journal of the American Medical
Association (Feb. 22, 1995) the treatment
recommended is:
- doxycycline
(tetracycline)
- 100 mg., 2 X a day X 10 days
- Up to 6 courses.

If you served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm and have information
regarding biologicals use, please complete a written affidavit or
statement with the information you have. Keep the original in a
safe place and send AGWVA a copy for your protection.
If you served in DS/DS as active duty or Reservist and are sick,
please write your story and send it to AGWVA. We need to know
where you were, what you saw, what immunizations you think you
received along with what Scud activity you were exposed
to.
We do not say this lightly, your life and the lives of your loved
ones are at stake. Many have died (approximately 7,000) and many
are sick (approximately. 200,000). We must stand together and
demand the antidote and answers from those who had knowledge of
this horrendous insult to mankind.
-
What You Can Do
-
Write your Congressmen/women and senators and demand an
accounting of the truth behind the Gulf War. The AGWVA will be
your voice to stand up for those who are sick and dying from this
most deadly disease. It needs your financial support as well.
Since the Department of Defense denies the existence of this
disease, we must work from our own funds to spread the
information that indeed the Gulf War illness is real, it is
communicable and it is an OUTBREAK!__J Riley Rn,
